Recessed lighting adds to the modern, minimalist design of this
historic inn, which has been this medieval town's only refuge for travelers since the 18th century. 
Warm wooden floors and soft-beige marble bathrooms are all made of local materials.  Some windows look out onto the city's walls or
olive tree terraces, but rooms  7, 8, 11 and 12 have picture-perfect views of the upper castle. There's a comfortably chic  restaurant downstairs.
