The battle fields of the great war

A tour from the upland plain of Asiago to the slopes of Mount Grappa to visit the scenes where so many tragic battles were fought out in the first half of last century. After walking to the forts of Corbin or Verena on the high plains of Asiago the tour continues in Bassano del Grappa to see the Viale dei Martiri (Vale of Martyrs), the Oassario, and to visit the Alpini bridge with its museum containing exhibits covering the Russian campaign to the restructuring of the Alpine bridge itself. On request before leaving Asiago, food lovers can drop in on a traditional alpine dairy to try some of the renowned Asiago cheese that the area is famous for.
