The jewels of Vicenza: from Monte Berico to the Piazza dei Signori

Take a trip through over a thousand year’s of history on a fascinating tour of the heart of Vicenza and some of the city’s surrounding countryside. From the Basilica Monte Berico, home to the Mariano sect, to the Villa Valmarana (renowned for its eighteenth century Tiepolo frescoes). After visiting Andrea Palladio’s masterpiece the Rotonda villa the tour then continues in the historical city centre and include sights such as the splendid gothic and renaissance palaces, celebrated Palladian works (which include the Teatro Olimpico – Olympic Theatre and the Basilica), works of art displayed in the various churches and many other picturesque corners of the city. Tours to see the impressive collection of Russian icons and Veneto art at the Leone Montari palace, or the Palladio museum in the Barbaran Da Porto palace are available on request.
