Andrea Palladio’s playground.

Hailed as ‘the city of Palladio’, Vicenza is a UNESCO world heritage site. Tours can include walks through the city’s historical centre, to take in some of the most beautiful buildings designed by the great renaissance architect - from the Piazza dei Signori (which faces the celebrated Basilica and the Loggia del Capitano – Cathedral, and Captains’ Lodge) to the splendid Teatro Olimpico and the Chieircati Palace. Guided tours can also include a visit to the Rotonda , and the Villa –Tempio so admired by Goethe.
